On May 4, 2022, Mrs. Moreau's 8th Grade Class took a fieldtrip to Kawa Bay Estuary.

In addition to learning about the intertidal zone, aquatic ecosystems and ocean chemistry, the students and parents removed 16 bags + 2 buckets + 2 large stump pieces of invasive mangroves from our fragile anchialine ecosystem at Kawa. Totaling 132lbs of mangroves removed.

Thank you to our chaperones and hosts at Kawa Bay Estuary. Great job 8th Graders! You make St. Joseph proud.
