About Saint Joseph School

Ms. Maile Kipapa

Head of St. Joseph School

Greetings from St. Joseph School Administration

Aloha St. Joseph School ‘Ohana,

It is with deep gratitude and great anticipation that I welcome each of you back to a new school year. As we gather once again as one body, one ‘ohana, we do so under a powerful and deeply rooted theme: Nānā i ke kumu, looking to the source.

In Hawaiian thought, the piko is our center, our origin, our connection to the divine, to one another, and to our purpose. It reminds us who we are and whose we are. This year, as a school community, we are intentionally turning our hearts and eyes toward the true Source—Ke Akua, our God—who promises to supply all our needs.

Philippians 4:19 assures us:
“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

In a world full of uncertainty, shifting priorities, and constant motion, our source remains steady. God is faithful. He is our provider, our strength, and our wisdom. As we return to campus and re-center our hearts, we are invited to step forward not in fear or scarcity, but in faith, trusting that every resource, every idea, every bit of strength and inspiration we need will be provided by Him.

This year, we lean into that promise. We look to God to supply what we need to grow academically, spiritually, emotionally, and communally. Whether it’s clarity in the classroom, creativity in our teaching, peace in our homes, or unity as a school, he is our source.

As a school ‘ohana, may we be rooted in our values, grounded in our faith, and committed to nurturing the light and potential in every student. Let us walk in step with our calling, anchored in love and guided by grace.

Mahalo for being part of this journey. Let us return to the Source together, and in doing so, watch God do more than we could ever ask or imagine.

“Nānā I ke Kumu”

Sincerely,

Maile Kipapa

Head of School
