Observed on March 19, the Feast of St. Joseph is an annual celebration honoring the husband of the Virgin Mary and legal guardian of Jesus Christ. St. Joseph is the patron saint of workers.
Because St. Joseph's Day was within Spring Break this year, we celebrated on March 11.
The morning started off with the Senior Class leading the underclassmen, grades 7 - 11, through Stations of the Cross. Inspired by the experince at their Senior Retreat, they placed the Stations around campus and guided each class on the journey. Along the way, they took time to reflect and discuss the importance of the Stations of the Cross.
Here is Payton discussing, with the Junior Class, at the Second Station, Jesus is made to bear His cross.
Above, the seventh graders reflecting on the Fifth Station, Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus carry His cross.
Following the Stations, we celebrated with the Solemnity of St. Joseph Mass. It was held in the gym with the Elementary Division students in attendance. This was the first Mass that they have attended, in-person, since the begining of the pandemic. Fr. Lito presided over the Mass. The Jr./Sr. High Division joined the Mass virtually. If you would like to watch a replay of the Mass it is available on the St. Joseph School YouTube Page.

PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH
Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer,
spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
To you God entrusted his only Son;
In you Mary placed her trust;
with you Christ became man.
Blessed Joseph, to us too,
show yourself a father and guide us in the path of life.
Obtain for us grace,
mercy and courage, and defend us from every evil.
Amen.
