Celebrated on March 3, Hinamatsuri, also known as doll's day or girl's day, is a religious holiday in Japan to pray for the health and happiness of young females. The event is celebrated by displaying traditional Hina dolls and enjoying special dishes. Early Japanese immigrants brought the holiday to the islands.
In honor of Hinamatsuri, Sensei Gomes' 8th grade art class created a Hina doll display using origami paper and displayed it by the front office.
Wishing all of our female Cardinals health and happiness!
