Honoring Leadership and Service at the Rotary Club of Hilo Bay
May 4, 2026
The Interact Club recently had the honor of attending a special breakfast hosted by the Rotary Club of Hilo Bay, a gathering dedicated to celebrating service, leadership, and the shared commitment to strengthening our community. The morning was filled with gratitude and recognition for the meaningful contributions made by our Interact members throughout the year.

A highlight of the event was the recognition of Ethan Fisher, senior, who was awarded a Rotary scholarship in support of his future studies at UH Hilo, where he plans to pursue a degree in nursing. Ethan’s dedication to service and his aspirations to give back through healthcare embody the very spirit of both Interact and Rotary. His achievement serves as an inspiration to fellow students and a testament to the impact of community support.

Kumu Kipapa, Head of School, was also in attendance and shared her heartfelt congratulations with the Interact Club members and their advisor, Mrs. Adams. She commended their ongoing commitment to service, leadership, and positive impact, emphasizing how their efforts reflect the core values of our school and community.
We extend a special mahalo to Annita Cunningham for her unwavering mentorship and advocacy for our Interact members. Her guidance and encouragement continue to empower students to lead with purpose and compassion.
The breakfast served as a meaningful reminder of what can be accomplished when organizations and individuals come together in service. The Interact Club looks forward to continuing its partnership with Rotary and making an even greater difference in the community.
