Bridging Cultures Through Education: Welcoming Urawa School’s Future Teachers
March 25, 2026
St. Joseph School was delighted to welcome visitors from our sister school, Urawa School in Japan. The group, composed of aspiring educators specializing in early childhood education, brought enthusiasm, curiosity, and a shared passion for teaching and learning.

Hosted by Sensei Masae Gomes and Sensei Eri Quiocho, the visit provided a warm and engaging introduction to our school community. The future teachers had the opportunity to observe our elementary classrooms in action, interact with students, and gain insight into classroom dynamics and instructional approaches. Our students enjoyed connecting with the visitors, asking questions and sharing their own school experiences.
During their time on campus, the group was also blessed with the opportunity to greet Bishop Larry Silva, making their visit even more memorable and meaningful.

The visit offered a rich exchange of ideas and cultural perspectives. For our guests, it was a valuable opportunity to experience education in a different setting. For our school community, it was a chance to build global connections and celebrate our shared commitment to nurturing young learners.

We are grateful for our partnership with Urawa School and look forward to continued collaboration and future visits that enrich both our communities.
