Building Hope, Together: St. Joseph School's Annual Appeal

December 16, 2024

Aloha Family & Friends of Saint Joseph School,

As we approach Thanksgiving and the Advent season, we reflect on all we are grateful for this year. With your support, we have been able to make substantial improvements to our school campus. Your donations, along with the help of a team of volunteers, allowed us to rewire our fire alarm system and install a security camera in the high school.  Our students have a greater sense of security in their school because of your generosity.

Saint Joseph continues to do well in educating our students in the Catholic faith. We now have two teachers dedicated to faith formation–one in the high school and one for the elementary school.  For the third year in a row, the school has been awarded the title of “Best Catholic High School” in Hawaii. Our standardized test scores for our elementary students and our SAT averages continue well above the national average.

As you know, the strength of our school community lies in the vibrant, diverse group of students who walk through our doors each year. To continue providing the exceptional education and programs that our students deserve, we must ensure that our enrollment numbers remain strong and sustainable.

To that end, we are launching a targeted marketing campaign designed to raise awareness about St. Joseph School and attract new students to our community. This initiative will involve a variety of strategies, including digital advertising, local outreach, and partnerships with community organizations. We have already recently renewed a four-year partnership with our sister school in Japan, Urawa Jitsugyo Gakuen. Furthermore, it is our hope that with this marketing initiative, we are able to bring back the St. Joseph School Country Fair. We believe that with your support, we can successfully grow our enrollment and continue to offer a high-quality educational experience for all students.

In this season of preparation and thanksgiving, we reflect with gratitude on blessings received. We pray for you and your families, and we ask again for your support in our shared mission to educate Hawaii’s youth in the great Catholic tradition.

God bless,

Maile Kipapa

Interim Head of School
