Urawa Sister School Welcome Dinner
November 2, 2024
On Friday, November 1, Principal Kipapa, Sensei Gomes, and 14 students from St. Joseph's Junior and Senior High School embarked on their journey to visit Urawa Jitsugyo Gakuen, their sister school in Japan. After arriving at Narita Airport, they were transported by bus to Urawa Jitsugyo School, where a welcome dinner was held at the Urawa Jitsugyo Cafe. Each student delivered an introductory speech in Japanese and was then introduced to their host families, with whom they would be staying during their visit to Japan from November 2 to November 16. "We are extremely blessed to have this opportunity to learn more about Japan and the Japanese culture. "Our hearts are filled with humility and gratitude for all the host families, students, faculty, and staff of Urawa Jitsugyo. A special mahalo to Okada Kocho, Hisada Riricho, and Tamagawa Sensei," Principal Kipapa said in her opening address at the welcome dinner.
