Cultural Tour with Dr. Kapuni-Reynolds

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Hawaiian Home Land community of Keaukaha, Dr. Kapuni-Reynolds invites you to join him for a Keaukaha history walking tour. The tour will be offered every Saturday in October (10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26) from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. and will take place at Puhi Bay. Each tour will be limited to 40 people. 

Tour highlights include learning about: 

  • The meaning of “Keaukaha”
  • The moʻolelo of Milo (Breakwater) and Puhi
  • The establishment of the community in 1924
  • Emma Nāwahī’s relationship to Keaukaha
