STEM CAMP
When: October 5 & 6
Who: This 2-day camp is open to Hawaiʻi Island students in Grades 6, 7, and 8.
When: Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6, 9:10 am to 2:00 pm both days. Drop-off begins at 9:00am. Parents/Guardians, please walk-in your student to the registration table.
Where: Waiakea High School, Building H, Rooms H-104 and H-105
Calling Hawaii Island students grades 6-8 to join us for lots of STEM learning and fun! For two days over fall break, students will learn Game Creation from student mentor Arlen Noguchi. They'll also practice the Engineering Design Process through Bio-mimicry with FishTank 2024 Program Manager Maria Gacula. Then, they will explore artificial intelligence and machine learning with Dr. Torrey Wagner, Associate Professor of Data Analytics at the Air Force Institute of Technology.
Lunch is provided at this tuition-free camp.
