Native Hawaiian Convention 2024
The Hawaiian Studies high school students willl be attending the Native Hawaiian Convention this year at the Hilton Waikoloa Village from September 17 to September 19. The three-day event will feature discussions and workshops on cultural perpetuation, housing, fashion, tourism, education, and self-determination. They will be joined by fellow ʻōpio around the state in discussing issues that matter most to them, celebrating our lāhui, and shaping the future of our beloved homeland, Hawaiʻi, an opportunity to connect, learn, and lead.
For over two decades, the Native Hawaiian Convention has served as one of the largest gatherings of Native Hawaiians to discuss hot topic issues, systemic solutions, and moving forward within our community. We are very fortunate that we are able to participate in this yearʻs convention.
