HCS Annual Administrators Retreat comes to Hilo
In a significant demonstration of unity and commitment to Catholic education, all administrators from Hawaii's Catholic schools recently visited St. Joseph School in Hilo as part of their annual administrative retreat. This gathering provided an invaluable opportunity for the state's Catholic educational leaders to reflect, collaborate, and inspire one another in their shared mission. The visit to St. Joseph School was a highlight of the retreat, allowing administrators to witness firsthand the vibrant educational environment and faith-centered community at St. Joseph School. During their time at St. Joseph School, the administrators engaged in various activities designed to foster collaboration and professional growth. They began their retreat participating in a school tour facilitated by St. Joseph Schoolʻs Student Council.
The retreat wasn’t just about professional development, it was also an opportunity for spiritual renewal. Administrators participated in prayer services and reflections that emphasized the importance of their role as spiritual leaders in their respective schools. The peaceful and serene environment of Kīlauea Military Camp provided the perfect setting for these moments of contemplation and connection with God.
The retreat concluded with a Mass service at St. Joseph Church. The administrators left St. Joseph School inspired and rejuvenated, ready to bring new ideas and a renewed sense of purpose back to their respective schools. The visit underscored the importance of collaboration and mutual support among Hawaii's Catholic schools, ensuring that they continue to provide exceptional education that is deeply rooted in the Catholic faith. With the success of this year's retreat, plans are already underway for future gatherings that will continue to strengthen the bonds between Hawaii's Catholic schools and ensure that their educational mission remains strong and vibrant. A special thank you to the faculty and staff of St. Joseph School for hosting with such grace and hospitality.
