The Hawaiʻi State Junior Golf Association held the 2023 Maui Junior Championship at Wailea Blue Golf Course on October 14 and 15. St. Joseph School Seventh Grader, Leo Saito, placed first in the boys 11-12 division. Leo scored 74 in the first round and 72 in the second for a combined score of 146 (four shots over par).
He carded an eagle, five birdies and eleven bogies between the two rounds. Saito's nearest competition shot a 159.
