Mālama Maui Project

Sensei Gomes and our Interact Club continue to dedicate time to their Mālama Maui Project. For the past few weeks, the students have been working hard on organizing and packing up donated goods to be sent to Sacred Heart School in Lāhaina. They were able to put together 41 boxes filled with various items.

Above, the principal's conference room is filled with donations of clothes, books, toiletries, school supplies and more from our St. Joseph School ʻOhana. Below, the interact club stand in front of the 41 boxes they packed.

Sensei organized the items to be shipped to Maui through a special program with Hawaiian Airline's Air Cargo.

The Interact Club got assistance from Mr. Danie, Mr. Alapai, Coach Costales, Mr. Veeck and Mr. Nahoʻopiʻi to load the shipment, transport it, and off load it once at the cargo dock.

Shipping went smoothly and everything was received well. Thank you to all who donated and all who assisted in getting our relief supplies to Sacred Heart School in Lāhaina. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the people of Maui.
