St, Joseph School is proud to announce the return of our Hula Club. Under the direction of Kumu Kaleonani, our Jr./Sr. High Students are able to learn hula and culture after school on Wednesdays. Below, she is teaching the haumāna, or students, stretches that will help with their hula movements.

Kumu Kaleonani trained under the world renouned Kumu Hula, Uncle Johnny Lum Ho. She danced in her first Merrie Monarch at the age of 13. Her mom is a graduate of St. Joseph School.

Above, Kumu Kaleonani introduces herself on the first day of papa hula, or hula class. We are so fortunate to have her. Mahalo to Hoʻokahua Kamaʻāina for sponsoring this endeavor!
