On Tuesday, January 24, our elementary students will be taking a huakaʻi, or voyage, to the ʻImiloa Astronomy Center in celebration of National School Choice Week. The students will greet the staff with a mele komo, or entrance chant, asking permission to enter ʻImiloa, where they will engage in Hawaiʻi's deep history of exploration. National School Choice Week crew will be documenting the day's events for a feature that will be highlighted on their website. Attached is a Press Release from National School Choice Week.
