Parents
Our parents are as active, involved and hardworking as our students. We appreciate them, and the sacrifices they make to send their children to St. Joseph School. Each Preschool through 12th grade, family at St. Joseph School is required to perform 25 hours of service to the school per year (35 hours if tuition assistance applies). There are many ways (most of them fun!) to earn these hours. Our Parent Teacher Guild (PTG) coordinates or supports many vital events and fundraisers.
Safe Environment Training Requirement
At St. Joseph School, there are many opportunities for families to participate in our school community activities, whether by fulfilling Time and Talent services hours, assisting with classroom activities, or supporting your child's class during excursions or special events. We deeply value the contributions of our volunteers and encourage our SJS 'ohana to share their time, talents, and treasures in ways that enrich the educational experience of all our Cardinals.
To ensure the safety and well being of our students, all employees, parents, guardians, volunteers, and independent contractors whose responsibilities involve contact with minors of our school are required to complete the "Protecting God's Children" Safe Environment Training for Adults through the VIRTUS program.

All parents/guardians must complete this training to be able to interact with their child during school hours, or at any school-sponsored event. Training must be completed every five years.
Cardinal Plaque Challenge
Parents and guardians can earn Cardinal Points for their child’s class by participating in school events, volunteering, attending meetings, and showing their Cardinal pride in meaningful ways. The more involved, the more points each class earns! At the end of the school year, the class with the highest total of Cardinal Points will be honored in a very special way:
Their class name will be engraved on the Cardinal Legacy Plaque, which will be proudly displayed in the high school lobby for all to see.
